Grab some friends—or come solo and make some new ones—and join us for an entire Saturday of board gaming at Kingslayer Games!

That Board Game Guy is taking over the tables with a huge Game Library, hosted games, demos, giveaways, and plenty of opportunities to discover something new. Whether you're already deep into the hobby, looking to try some new games, or you're completely new to modern board gaming, we'll help get you to a table and playing!

Your $10 entry includes an event wristband giving you access to the gaming area for the day, plus a set of Kingslayer Games branded 6-sided dice to take home!
 
SPOTLIGHT GAMES
Throughout the day, we'll be hosting and teaching three featured games:

Hot Streak – Fast, hilarious horse racing and betting where things can go wonderfully—or spectacularly—wrong.

Bomb Busters – The 2025 Spiel des Jahres winner! Work together in this clever cooperative deduction game to defuse the bombs before it's too late.

Moon Colony Bloodbath – Build and manage your colony on the moon in this card-driven strategy game from Dominion designer Donald X. Vaccarino and a 2026 Kennerspiel des Jahres nominee.

Play a Spotlight Demo and you'll receive a chance to WIN a copy of that game at the end of the event!

Copies have been difficult to find, but you'll have the opportunity to sit down, learn them, and see what all the buzz is about!

The rest of the gaming space will be open for free play. Bring something from your own collection or grab a game from the That Board Game Guy Game Library, featuring a huge selection of games available to play throughout the day.

Coming by yourself? Absolutely. One of the best parts of board gaming is meeting new people around the table.

Come spend the day playing games, discovering some new favorites, winning some stuff, and hanging out with the Southern California tabletop community.

Event Fee Refund Policy:
When you register for an event, you agree to these terms.

For any cancellation requests, please call the store where the event is being hosted at least 3 hours before the start time of the event. Cancellation requests made within 3 hours of the event start time are not eligible for a refund.

For any cancellation requests for an event that starts at or before 12:00 PM, please call the store the day before during opening hours.
